3G Spectrum Auction – Final Result

The Government has approved the results of the 3G Auction. The e-auction was conducted over 34 days (from 9th April, 2010 to 19th May, 2010) and involved 183 rounds of bidding across 22 service areas. The government has managed to raise Rs. 67,718.95 crores from the auction, with Rs. 50,968.37 crores from private telecom operators, and Rs. 16,750.58 crores from the state owned telecom operators BSNL and MTNL. Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Spectrum Auction – Final Result

The Government has approved the results of the Broadband Wireless Access (BWA) Spectrum Auction. The e-auction was conducted over 16 days (from 24th May, 2010 to 11th June, 2010) and involved 117 rounds of bidding across 22 service areas. The Indian Government has raised Rs. 38,543.31 crores from the auction, short of the estimated Rs. 40,000 crore.
