MSC is the SSP, you should have seen SCP in your visit or you just ignored or they didn't tell you the SCP. SCP have hard disk and don't have GUI terminals they are logged into using the telnet. I will make a post on my blog about SCP with Picture, you can visit my blog here Telecommunication Bloh

from what i understand, sms hubbing is good for sending intl sms’s to other countries we dont have agreements with.

qn:
suppose we continue getting roaming partners, does the sms hub partner say belgacom remove the countries we have agreements with from its list of operators?

Also, with bilateral agreements, how are those international sms’s treated? these wont be charged ? if not, how will they be charged ?

I have asked this question in a different topic, but I guess it is more relevant to be asked here, so I am going to repeat the same questions.

I have seen a lot of SMS-MT messages that have different GTs for SCCP Calling and MAP Service Centre Address, but they are all valid. Somehow along the way, some nodes change those GTs so that both are different. In reality, which elements change those GTs, and why?

sorry, what I meant was: why, in reality, do we have such messages (valid SMS MT with having different GTs between SCCP Calling and MAP-SM-RP-OA)? what elements that change the SCCP Calling GT? do they know (the ones doing them) that they are doing faking?

Hello,

I have a question about Faking SMS MT. It could happen from SMS MT that has SCCP Calling Party GT that is different than MAP SM-RP-OA (which is the SMSC address). What I have seen is that a lot of valid SMS MT has such combination, so that we can not just block them. My question is that why, in reality, do we have such question? Which elements change the SCCP Calling Party GT?
